EnglishAbout the Department of English Language
The Department commenced its activity in 1372 (1993) with the aim to fulfill the requirements of other departments of the university for the provision of general English classes. Subsequently, in 1382 (2003), the Department commenced the admission of students in the field of English language translation at the undergraduate level, and from Mehr 1387 (October 2008), it also began accepting students at the master's level in the field of English language teaching. Considering that English language and literature is the foundational discipline, and in light of the interest and approval of professors of this Department, the English language and literature program was also established at the undergraduate level in this department starting from 1395 (2016). Therefore, the activities of this department include educating English translation students, English language teaching, as well as planning and organizing general language classes for various faculties.
The Department currently has 256 undergraduate students and 64 graduate students enrolled in its programs.

Laboratory of the English Language Department
This laboratory, with a capacity of 35 students (equipped with 35 cabins) and equipped with multimedia facilities, is located in the Faculty of Humanities. The professors utilize the available educational aids, including video projector, television, DVD player, and the multimedia system, to teach courses that require practical training. These courses include Listening 1 and 2, Interpreting 1, 2, and 3, Audiovisual Translation, Translation of Journalistic Texts, Research Methodology 1 and 2, and Essay Writing.
